In this workshop, which is part of the 2019 Harvard Medieval Material Culture Series, Eurydice Georganteli, lecturer on art history and numismatics at Harvard, will explore the role of museum artifacts in the study of medieval material culture. She will offer participants a chance to reflect on the value and limitations of museum collections and archaeological finds as primary sources for the Middle Ages.
 
This workshop will take place in the Art Study Center, on Level 4.

Admission is free and open to Harvard students, faculty, and community members with an interest in medieval material culture. Capacity is limited to 15 and registration is required. Registration information can be found here

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the program to allow sufficient time to sign in at the Art Study Center reception desk. Please be prepared to present a photo ID.

Lockers are available on the Lower Level, Level 1, and Level 4 to check bags, coats, umbrellas, and any food or drink.
