ARTS FIRST at the Harvard Art Museums: Fancy Moves—Make Paper Dance in the Materials Lab!

Workshop

Harvard Art Museums
32 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA

Drop by the Materials Lab to make paper dance! Fashion your own hat using a paperfolding exercise inspired by the Bauhaus preliminary course.

This workshop will take place in the Materials Lab, Lower Level.

Free admission, but space is limited. No registration is required for this drop-in workshop.

This program is presented in conjunction with another ARTS FIRST event, RAMP IT UP: Bauhaus for the 21st Century, a hybrid fashion show/dance party inspired by the 1929 Metal Ball and design principles from the Bauhaus. We invite you to wear your Bauhaus-inspired hat to the performance, which will take place right after our workshop, on the Prescott Street lawn between the Harvard Art Museums and the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts. The performance will repeat at 4pm and 5pm. Inspired by our current special exhibition The Bauhaus and Harvard, the performance is choreographed by Tiffany Lau ’19 and Daniel Rivera ’20.

ARTS FIRST (May 2–5, 2019) is an annual festival organized by the Office for the Arts at Harvard that showcases student creativity on campus.
