Descriptions

Description
Obv.: Christ seated on backless throne (Type III) facing, bearded, with cross and nimbus, wearing tunic and himation; r. hand raised to side in blessing, l. holds Gospel book with ornament on cover, by spine on knee. Double border of dots. Concave.

Rev.: Emperor standing, facing, bearded, wearing scaled armor, cloak, and crown with cross and pendilia, grabs scabbard with l. hand and holds sword over his r, shoulder. Double border of dots.
