Mold-made terracotta head of a youth

Mottled beige and dull red-orange terracotta is molded into the form of the face and neck of a youthful male. The back of his head and neck are left un-rendered, and a ridge extends around the edges of his neck and the top of his head. Individually molded locks of short hair frame his face as he stares forward. He has full lips, round cheeks, and his neck flares outward at the base. Some damage shows, with chips missing from the tip of the nose and the chin, and a large wedge broken off the right side, extending from the cheek to above the eye.
