Description
Photograph taken in Korea probably in 1947 or 1948 (as it appears in the first edition of Horace Bristol's book, Korea, which was published in 1948). Vintage gelatin silver print; with stamps on the back reading "Photograph by Horace Bristol" and "East-West Photographic Agency". Mid-twentieth-century street scene in central Korea with an eighty-two year-old gentleman in traditional garb (white robe and black, horse-hair hat) and a man drying newly made noodles.
