In this black woodcut on white paper, a figure is shown seated centrally with her left arm resting on a table. She has short, black hair, a white button-up shirt, and glances off to the right of the image with a relaxed expression. On the table by her elbow is a black book. On either side of her head is a flat, abstracted sunflower. Each element is given a thick black outline, and black lines are used to create dynamic shading.
