Descriptions

Description
Painted plain weave cotton duck canvas fragment with irregular knife cut edges and white priming layer. Multiple paints layered, all applied by a wide brush. On one side to orange paints are layered, one glossier than the other. On the other side, three paints are layered. The lowest layer is a matte crimson, second is a glossier crimson, the third is a stroke of possibly transparent orange. The brush strokes are all applied diagonally with respect to the canvas weave.
