Mais en fin ayant en quelque / dispute touchant la foy, il est enprisonné par vn certain cheas et de là attaché / a la Croix, où il meurt. // Sainct Jean frere de jacques le majeur estant encore fort jeune est appellé au nombre / des apostles. il a escrit son histoire euangelique tout le dernier. finalement / soubz la rage et tyrannie de Domitian il est jetté en vne chaudiere bouïllante / Il en sort sain et sauue, et meurt fort aagé.
