Description
Sitter information:

Lord George Hill (9 December 1801-6 April 1879). Fifth son of the 2nd Marquess of Downshire. Major in the Army. First married, 21 October 1834, to Casandra Jane (d. 14 March 1842) youngest daughter of Edward Knight (a nephew of Jane Austen) of Godmersham Park Kent. Second marriage to Louisa, sister to his first wife who died 29 July 1889.
