Descriptions

Description
This piece derives from Spoerri's 1964 work "31 Variations on a Meal" at the Allan Stone Gallery in NY. "31 Variations" consisted of meals eaten by various artists and art world figures. Spoerri then affixed the "remains" as artworks entitled "So Easily Made No. ..." Photographs of the meals were taken and George Maciunas began an effort to produce both laminated tabletops and tablecloths like this one. This is one of four Fluxus Edition tablecloths known to have been produced, all of which are in the collection.
