1970.106: Seated Woman: Study for Saint Paul Preaching at Athens (Window, Columbia University)
DrawingsA woman sits in a simple wooden chair as she pensively looks to the left, her left arm is bent, two fingers touch underneath her chin. Her torso is turned slightly towards us as her right arm reaches across her crossed knee gently holding the garment to make an arch in the drapery folds. Her wavey hair is neat and short, bunched along the neckline. Her bare foot peaks out from under the dress, and some of the garment rests on the floor by the side of the chair.
