Technical Observations: The patina is light and dark green with traces of burial accretions. Pseudomorphs of organic materials, probably roots, are present in the green corrosion products near the loop.

The bell was cast by the lost-wax process. The model was formed by cutting the voids from the periphery of a circular sheet of wax and then bending the spokes upward to join the loop at the top. The ball, which may have been pre-cast in bronze, was incorporated in the core. The core was removed after casting, exposing the ball.
