Technical Details

Technical Observations: The earrings are covered by a mottled green and black-brown patina and tan burial accretions. Each earring was cast in one piece. The ends are cut and come to an edge and point.

The earrings are not perfectly identical in their form or manufacture. On 133.1972.A, the decorative beads are all the same size, whereas on 133.1972.B, they increase in size slightly from the undecorated rod to the opposite terminal. The terminals also differ, with undecorated rods extending from both sides of 133.1972.A, which may indicate that they were not originally paired.
