The black and white photograph shows four men sitting on a bench, there is a cast iron railing behind them. The man on the left is wearing a suit and tie and faces the viewer, the second man is wearing a suit and no tie, hands clasped on this knee, he is facing right. The third man wears a hat, a shirt and tie, his left hand at his chin, the fourth man wears a suit and tie and a hat, he leans slightly to the left. There is a row of multi-storied buildings in the background along the length of the picture plane.
