A drawing of a sleeping man beneath figures rendered in clouds.

The drawing in watercolor on white paper depicts a sleeping man at the bottom center of the page. He wears a pink and tan garment, with a harp or lyre at his side. He is seated on a stone, with his head reclining into his folded arms to one side. Above him are a number of figures rendered in clouds, which partially encircle him. Directly surrounding him are five female figures playing harps or lyres, one of whom touches the sleeping man with an outstretched arm. To the right of the sleeping man is a figure dressed as a soldier, with a spear and shield which partially obscures his face. Behind the soldier and female figures are two masses of figures dressed as soldiers parted at center. Between the two masses of soldiers, the moon is visible through dark clouds.
