A drawing of a woman standing for a portrait in a long dress.

The drawing in graphite on white paper depicts a woman standing center-page facing left in three quarters, her gaze directed to the viewer. She wears a long dress ornamented in striped patterns on the sleeves and prominent frills down the bust. Her hands are linked at her waist, and a folded garment is draped over her left arm. Her dark, straight hair is parted at center and just visible beneath a frilled kerchief or bonnet.
