    [Mr. Marceliano Santa Maria. My dear sir and beloved friend. You must have received the letter from D. Luis with the template of the tapestries for that man from Bilbao. This man asks for an estimate and a very economic one, which I believe is incompatible with art. Mr. Luis and I have exchanged views and he assigns me to tell you to illustrate one sketch with as much drawing and colors and the other you can do it as artistic as you wish, but in both the background and the lively drawing should dominate, because that is how the patron wants it.
