Inscriptions and Marks
  • inscription: written on old mat: From the covers of the book registered under No 408B. Uerzog August's Kirchen-Leifrig 1580. This cut was on the front cover No 7431 on the back voer. The two cuts seem to have been used by the binder merely for string lining the convers. The design seems to correspond with Schreiiber's no. 952 but this impression is without lettering and the one which was on the back cover has lettering differing from that given by Schreiber.
