  • collector's mark: verso, black stamp: HONO SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE [motto inscribed within the garter, which contains illegible innitials and is surmounted by a coronet] [Walter Francis, 5th Duke of Buccleuch (Lugt 402)]
  • collector's mark: verso, violet stamp with numerals written within in brown ink: GRAY COLLECTION, / 7724 / Harvard College [within an oval borderline (Lugt 4836)]
