A woman lying in bed watching as another woman carries away a tray

Lightly sketched black lines describe a scene with two figures. At right a young woman in a nightgown lies on her side in a bed, propping her head up with one hand. Still half covered by blankets and with her hair un-combed and falling around her shoulders, she faces the viewer and smiles with a sleepy expression at a woman in the foreground. The second woman shown in three quarter profile, walks toward us carrying a tray with a cup and a pitcher. She is older, heavy set and also wearing a nightgown. An empty chair is beside the bed.
