Two joined black and white prints portray a fair held in a large hall.

These two black and white prints portray the composite scene of a fine art sale, hosted in a spacious hall with a high, arched ceiling. The architecture of the hall fills three-quarters of the scene. Small balconies wrap around the walls roughly 30 feet above the floor, and four chandeliers hang from the ceiling in the middle of the room. Booths full of goods to sell line the walls: on left is a seller of pictures, and on the right is a seller of masks. More than fifty people, mostly men, fill the room. They wear a range of different costumes and engage in several different activities, such as conversing with each other and examining the goods for sale. Two shields adorn the upper left and right corners of the scene. Below the image is a lengthy inscription.
