M2043: Playing Card: King of Batons
PrintsOn off-white card stock, a fine lined engraving depicts a bearded man seated on a throne, wearing a crown, and a red robe over Roman style chest armor. He sits facing us but looking up and to the right. His left elbow leans on the back of the chair behind him, while his right hand rests in his lap, holding the end of a large yellow baton which leans against his upper arm. The baton, which extends as high as his head is topped with a blue domed cap. Five concentric dotted lines form a border around the image.
