Description
Deep rose/ crimson warp-faced silk ground (ribbed weave) with scalloped borders and inner embroidered bands of flowers and arabesques in silk yarn. Central medallion of bishop saint (St. Nicholas?) flanked by four kneeling boys and gilt silver embroidered ground with 'gaufrure' (waffled) border of gold filé; lining of plain woven crimson silk; embroidered satin stitich, bullion and couching filé and frisé
