Description
Obverse: Female figure and baby; reverse: three nude figures struggling? Seventeenth issue of the Society of Medalists. The Fogg owns another cast of this medal, 1938.71; there are casts also at the Metropolitan Museum and the Smithsonian. The Inventory of American Art notes an unlocated sculpture entitled Dance of Life, with a "standing figure with head dropped forward and arms stretched forward over head."
