1954.136: Autumn: Mid-Day, Looking North, Table-Rock Hill, Peekskill, New York
PaintingsThe field and hill are painted in rich earthy autumnal colors of greens, ochres, and browns. The brush strokes are pronounced and define the texture of the clouds and dimension and depth of the low hill. The hill and field are the most illuminated in the center, in line with large puffy clouds above. No trees or plants are depicted in this sublime scene.
