A drawing in light graphite of a seated boy.

A young boy is shown from the torso up, apparently seated although his lap and the chair are not shown, but only indicated by his posture. Rendered in light quick graphite lines the boy has close-cropped hair, a thin face and a thoughtful expression. His eyes look off to the left, and that side of his face is somewhat in shadow. He wears a slightly too small coat over an open collar. He holds his hands in front of him, partly on his lap, but apparently ready to lift them.
