Descriptions
- Description
- In the center of the page is an amorous royal couple. Their status is signified by the male figure’s elaborate turban and two-pearl earring, as well as the female figure’s jewelry. Around the edges of the page are swirls and scribbles executed in a variety of colors. These bold lines signify the artist testing colors and strokes, as well as adjusting the amount of pigment held in the brushes. Rajput style, Kota school.
