Descriptions
- Description
- The drawing features a young prince as a bridegroom. He wears a crown with a cloth that partially covers his face and stands before a group of women. The one in the front holds out a tray before him. Others in the group carry instruments and fly whisks. The center of the page has suffered damage and loss. However, it bears a group of women, one of which carries an umbrella over the prince, a symbol of his status and also customary during Hindu wedding processions. On the far right are four female musicians, two of which play trumpets, and the other two play drums. Rajput style, Kota school.
