Descriptions

Description
Panel (comprised of two panels stitched together) of "Genoa" velvet, or polychromed ciselé cut and uncut velvet, in "point composition" (symmetrical around a central axis) depicting large branching floral and foliate arabesques. Ground weave of cream-coloured satin with silk cut and uncut velvet pile in crimson, green, yellow, cream and peach.
