- Description
- Padded shield in foliate mantling with two rampant lions confronting a central tree; crown crest above. Lions are appliquéd from warp-faced ribbed silk with gold lamé in weft onto crimson cut velvet; manes are of crimped metallic threads outlined in couched metallic gilt filé. The tree has a gilt lamé padded trunk with leaves of couched silk and metallic yarns. The crown is of crimson silk(?) cut velvet with yellow ribbed plain weave; jewels of satin stitch embroidery.
