Description
Tekke main carpet with 5 columns of 9 main carpet guls each; both kilim ends (alems) intact.

Warp: 2 S plied Z spun goat wool with high hair-count in undyed brownish-buff. Weft: 2 S ply Z spun goat wool with high-hair count undyed brownish-buff; 2 shoots. Pile: 2 S ply Z spun wool (high quality). Pile colors: brick red, salmon, undyed ivory, brown, midnight blue-black, navy blue and yellow-gold. Knots: symmetrical. Knots per vertical decimeter: 57. Knots per horizontal decimeter: 41. Both selvedges: large round bundle of approximately 5 warps; several more warps wrapped in extra wefts (of know material); over 6 warps, thicker knots tied. Top end: 6 cm brick red weft-faced kilim with 1 blue stripe toward carpet end and 3 blue stripes at outer edge; knots of 3 warps each to create fringe. Bottom end: same, but 8 cm. kilim.
