Catalogue entry no. 150 by Max Loehr:

150 A Water Buffalo Twosome
Mottled light and dark gray, slightly translucent jade pebble. The underside is hollowed out into an oval trough that is filled by a crudely executed, curled dragon figure in thread-relief. The object is transformed into a pair of reclining buffalo whose full-round heads face in opposite directions. The heads are similar to No. 149; the limbs; too, compare with that piece – except that the left forelegs are engraved side by side between the raised heads. Diagonal perforation at the lower corner behind one of the heads. Late Shang(?).
