Catalogue entry no. 497 by Max Loehr:
497 Ornate Plaquette
Light gray jade, darkening to russet and brown toward the edges. The piece, a slightly irregular oblong shape with recessed upper and lower corners, is equipped with unusual lateral projections. These projections are sharp, rectangular, T -shaped hooks arranged in pairs, slightly thinner than the body of the plaquette. A thin, tapering perforation runs through the middle. Both sides of the body are decorated with modeled spirals, while fine, linear engravings appear on the projections. Late Eastern Chou.
