97 Collared Disk
Small and narrow disk, with a flange, or collar, projecting on both sides of the inner edge, The material is a fine-grained, cream-colored opaque stone that is polished as smooth as ivory. Traces of cinnabar on one side. The surfaces have been finished so perfectly that no evidence of the drilling and grinding down of the disk remains. Shang or Western Chou.
