357 Pair of Ornate Slit Disks
Approximately circular plaques of green, highly translucent jade, each with a central perforation and radial slit. The obverse sides are decorated with incised, curvilinear, “dragon”-head configurations, symmetrically arranged so that each faces the slit. Cinnabar pigment on both sides. One of the disks is broken. Early Eastern Chou.
