402 Disk with Pattern of Spirals in Low Relief
Large disk of translucent, dark bluish green jade with blackish streaks and rust-colored spots. The curls are larger, flatter, and more densely placed than in the types described under Nos. 385 ff. The carving is less refined than in those types; furthermore, the rim is flat rather than raised. On the rim are incised six characters, discussed in the section of the Introduction dealing with inscriptions. Later Eastern Chou.
