Catalogue entry no. 452 by Max Loehr:
452 Ornamental Archer’s Ring
Lustrously polished, translucent, pale greenish gray jade with buff, calcified spots. Like No. 453, the ring is unfit for practical use. Its exquisitely wrought décor consists of interlocked, modeled spirals on the upper face, and large incised spirals flanking a cross-hatched central field on the lower face. The spur is treated as a bird’s head. The pointed back of the ring shows a small, drilled tunnel. Late Eastern Chou.
