1991.592: Pear-Shaped Bottle with Decoration of Two Ginseng Branches
VesselsFrom a flat circular base, the lower third of the bottle curves outward, before tapering to a thin neck at the top third, which flares out to a low ridge around the circular opening at the top. Thin, gray-brown horizontal lines form margins of varying widths across the base, the middle, and the neck. The widest band, across the middle, features a design brushed on in dark lines and shapes, that are in places streaked with transparent rusty brown. In it, two curving stems criss cross and then curve downward, ending in three lobe-shaped leaves.
