Descriptions

Description
Elliptical bottle supported by a short, slightly splayed foot with a flat base; shoulders narrow dramatically to a short, narrow neck topped with a dish-shaped mouth with everted rim; four evenly spaced, parallel horizontal lines encircle the upper portion of the vessel; light gray stoneware with bluish-green celadon glaze that appears blue in concentrated areas; glaze stops well short of the foot; base unglazed. Place of manufacture uncertain, probably northern China.
