Black-and-white charcoal drawing of a factory puffing smoke into the sky. Most features of the piece are largely undefined, lending a vague, hazy atmosphere to the environment. The factory sits in the bottom left corner of the drawing with a river separating it from buildings on the right. Dark smoke overtakes much of the sky before fading away into the atmosphere. The combination of charcoal and modern laid paper imparts a rough texture to the piece, further obscuring any defining elements present.
