Inscriptions and Marks
  • inscription: verso, graphite, English, in artist's hand: 12 April 1999 Dear Debi, My class and I want to thank you and your staff for exciting, inspiring, and open eyed and around day we had with you two weeks ago. You were so generous with what you know and clearly love. That itself was something fine to witness. This picture was taken on the roof of Mass Art a week ago, and two of the students that you inspired--differently from one another no doubt--Eric Blanchard and Ernest Pontillo are the subjects. I am back out in the world again picture wise, and am very happy. We, Ph 370/View Camera/Spring 1999 salute and thank you heartily. As ever, Nick [underneath are signatures from the students in the class]
