Page from a sketchbook with hand drawn diagrams in graphite of numbered, labeled grids

A large rectangle occupying most of the center and top of the sheet contains variously shaped smaller rectangles, that are clustered in each corner of the large one. At top right is a smaller, similarly subdivided rectangle, to which an arrow from the large rectangle is pointing. At bottom center-right is a third, middle sized grid. The boxes in all three grids are labeled with the name of a color like “violet”, or with initials, “py”, “v”, “x”, “ow” or “o”, which correspond to a handwritten list at bottom left of the colors, “pale yellow”, “violet”, “white”, “off white” and “orange”, respectively.
