Descriptions

Description
The medal's obverse features a bust-length naturalistic portrait of the Savonarola. He is shown in profile, faces left, and wears a habit with the hood raised. The medal's reverse features a hand clutching a dagger and hovering over castellated walls set on rocky ground. The medal has a molded border and is pierced at the noon position. The patina appears to have been applied.
