Commentary
Esquimaux Toupek or Skin Tent. The boat or kayak is placed on poles to keep it from dogs, which destroy everything they can reach. Plate 121 in William Bradford, The Arctic regions, illustrated with photographs taken on an art expedition to Greenland (London, 1873).
