A black and white landscape photograph with a sepia tone. The rugged landscape, with small scrub vegetation in the foreground, shows no sign of human occupancy. An immense canyon dominates the center of the composition, with the river that created it seen in the distance. There are a few outcroppings of rock and a small mountain is on the horizon. The sky is a monotone light grey that spreads across the top of the photograph.
