A three quarter length portrait of a standing man with a feather headdress

A sepia toned photograph shows a standing man facing us, while his eyes look away to the right. He has medium dark skin, and dark straight hair that falls to his shoulders. A headdress he wears holds eight feathers that point out to the left, and one larger feather that stands upright from behind his head. He wears a cloth around his neck over a white collared shirt, and a dark coat with lapels and buttons. With one hand, he holds a wool blanket around his torso, while at right, he holds up a staff with a fringed cloth attached at the side.
