Obverse: Relief profile portrait bust facing right; above, "SIEGMUND FREUD WIEN MCMVI"
Reverse: Sphinx figure on boulder facing a standing male nude (Oedipus?) resting his proper right elbow on a walking stick in contemplation; text in Greek script to right side, "He solved the enigma and he was an extremely poweful man." (translation, Anna Tahinci 3/29/02)
