Special Event

Harvard Art Museums
32 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA

Join us in the Art Study Center for a glimpse into the history of the Harvard Art Museums, with a special focus on the rich history of the Archaeological Exploration of Sardis, founded in 1958.

During open hours on Mondays in October, from 1 to 4pm, select historical photographs, correspondence, objects, and more from the holdings of the archives and Sardis will be on view for close examination, and staff will be on hand to share the stories behind the materials. (Please note that the museums will be closed Monday, October 9, in observance of Columbus Day.)

This event coincides with our regular Art Study Center Open Hours; visitors may also request to see works of art not currently on view in the galleries.

Today’s session also coincides with a special viewing of prints from Andy Warhol’s portfolio Marilyn Monroe. See the calendar for details.

The Art Study Center is located on Level 4. No appointment is necessary during open hours. Please be prepared to present a photo ID.

Free with museums admission
