Welcome, Harvard Students!

September 2, 2014
A view into the future home of the Art Study Center, where students (and others) will be able to examine works of art firsthand, making connections among original objects from different cultures, media, and eras.

Today marks the start of the 2014–15 academic year, and for the Harvard Art Museums, this moment brings a level of excitement and anticipation like no year before it. This November, we open our doors to you (and the community) to experience our newly renovated and expanded space, designed to provide greater accessibility to our collections. Examine original works of art up close in the Art Study Center; visit the University Galleries to see how Harvard faculty are using our collections for interdisciplinary teaching; explore materials and innovations in art media in the Materials Lab; attend presentations, performances, and events in state-of-the-art lecture halls and seminar rooms; or simply stroll through our galleries and the historic Calderwood Courtyard between classes.

Looking to become more involved? Visit our table at the Student Activities Fair in Radcliffe Quad this Friday, September 5, from 4 to 7pm, to speak with a current Student Board member to learn about opportunities for Harvard students to participate at the museums, including our Student Guide Training Program (applications open now).

Can’t make it to the fair? Sign up for our student email list to receive announcements about programs and opportunities for Harvard students.
