Zoe Oliver (Mrs. Henry H.) Sherman, Purchase from the Ehrich Galleries, NY, 1920, Gift to Fogg Art Museum, 1920. This was bought by Mrs. Sherman for the Fogg. If transaction happened today credit line would read "Purchase through the generosity of Zoe Oliver Sherman." She paid $6000. and traded a Hale painting for the work. It was considered a genuine Goya at the time of purchase.
